So what exactly is #PrimeDay? #PrimeDay begins at 3pm on Monday, July 16th. Amazon releases sales as the day progresses. You can follow along on the page to know what is coming up. If you download the app, you can get a sneak peek of some of the deals (but not all…they’re stealthy like that).

So why am I writing about this on an education page? Let me tell you…last year I STOCKED UP for the school year thanks to #PrimeDay. I was able to get the Rocket Notebook I had been eyeing up (this thing is SO COOL. You write in it, digitize it, and then put it in the microwave to clear it and use it again….whaaatttt?!). I also loaded up on Expo Markers, Washable Paint, Scissors, and a ton of other stuff to use in my classroom. Thinking about doing a student-centered classroom with concepts like flexible seating? Keep an eye out for sales that fit the mold. The best part is that the sales just keep coming and they’re at a FRACTION of the cost they normally are.

Rumor has it there will be some awesome deals on Alexa (also known as the Amazon Echo) as well, which is also super cool to use in the classroom! Just saying…

Moral of the story, if you don’t have Amazon Prime, get the free trial to take advantage of #PrimeDay. ‘Tis the season to stock up your classroom, so take advantage of the opportunity. (As a side note, if you do like what Amazon Prime has to offer and keep it, you would be able to take advantage of not only 2-day shipping on products you order from them but also deals at Whole Foods! I was just there today to try it out and saved 10% on multiple products AND there were some sales only available to Amazon Prime members. It pays for itself very quickly! AND if you spend $10 there this weekend, you get a $10 credit for #PrimeDay! Win-Win!).

So give the trial a whirl and watch the sales add up on Monday! You WON’T be disappointed. Thanks for reading 🙂

After moving from a teacher-dominated classroom to a student-regulated one, Jenn found herself helping colleagues who wanted to follow her lead.  In 2018 she decided to expand outside of her school walls and help those out there who were also trying to figure out this fantastic method of instruction.  She realized that, even though there was a ton of information out there about why student-centered learning is beneficial in the classroom, there wasn't a lot about how to go about making the transition to this method; thus Student-Centered World was born.
